it should be on the block. you have to locate it first. there is no “easiest way.”
It will be located on the block most likely on the rear of the the block by the fire wall. It is difficuilt to say exactly where and there is really no easiest way you just have to find it then determine what has to be moved out of the way to get to it and make sure you have the correct tools that is what will make the job easy is having the right tools for the job….
The main thing is to get a special socket wrench made to fit them. Especially if it’s in an area that is hard to get at with other types of wrenches. Use teflon tape on the threads when you install the new one. If you haven’t done it before, you might want to check the torque specifications. You don’t want to bust that sucker off in there!
Just remove electrical connector, blow away any debris from the area. unscrew it, tape and install new one, re-connect electric lead, start motor and check for leaks and proper operation.
The oil pressure switch on a 4.0L SOHC V6 Engine is located at the left/front corner of the engine as you are already aware. Regarding the easiest way to replace it, you may have to remove the left/front wheel and tire assembly, and try accessing it through the wheelwell, using a suitable socket and extension with a flex joint. Either that, or a “stubby” ratcheting wrench of the proper size might work. Hope this helps.
Nice information.
