There Is Oil Leaking From The Oil Pressure Switch
Posted in Crank, Oil and Piston | Asked on May 9, 20101990 camaro rs v8. i have an oil pressure switch on the side of my engine and the wire that plugs into it kept falling out when ever i drove somewhere, upon further inspection i noticed that when the car is on oil will steadily drip out of the plug. Why is this, and do i have to get a new plug, if so how much are they, and how do i replace it, would i need to drain the oil first?

You need a new sensor, it shouldn’t be more than $20.
Replace the switch. Around $25. No,no need to drain crankcase! Good luck!

Depending on where you live, that sensor aka pressure sensor/switch is 27$ @ a discount parts store such as Pepboys Autozone or advanced. You will probably want to change the connector too. A hole box in different sizes is about 2.50$. If you don’t have a real Amphenol crimping tool (35$-200$) just solder the connector on to the wire
Pressure sensors leaking is very common and it is no big deal and way cheaper to change than adding oil or spinning the bearings.
Had this happen to me on a Yugo, massive leak from the pressure switch. It’s easy to change just pull off the wires and screw in a replacement which should be cheap.
I would not drain the oil unless it had not been done for a while, just catch whatever is lost and top up afterwards
