Is My Oil Pressure Really Bad Or Do I Have A Bad Sensor

Below is the question about Is My Oil Pressure Really Bad Or Do I Have A Bad Sensor,

The computer on my car usually gives me a warning to shut off the engine because of the oil pressure. Problem is my temperature gage is telling me the temp is fine. I was wondering if I have a bad sensor or is my pressure really bad.

Your oil pressure gauge and temperature gauge are not related. Nobody here is going to be able to tell you if you have a sensor problem or not. But if you have real oil pressure problems, you will destroy your engine if you continue to drive. Get it checked immediately.

Can you give us an idea of the yr/make and model vehicle as well as the mileage. Most shops can actually hook up a pressure gauge and tell you what the pressure really is
