How Often Should A Toyota Knock Sensor Be Replace

I have a ’00 toyota camry & the dealer told me the “knock sensor” needs to be replaced. how much will it cost and how often should this be replaced?
the dealer told me that the knock sensor need to be fixed how much it will that go for?

    You only replace the knock sensor when it needs it. The check engine light comes on the dash and the car gets scanned and will tell the computer what code it is and what needs to be replaced.

    It should be replaced whenever it fails. Dealer list should be $162.99 P/N 89615-32030 and labor time is 0.6 hours (shop rates vary).
