Yamaha Timberwolf 250 Boot Between Transmission And Driveshaft Tube. Boot Is Too Large Dia To Reduce To Trans

Posted in Axles & Driveshaft | Asked on Aug 17, 2010

The rubber boot between the transmission and drive shaft tube has a larger diameter than the transmission connection diameter. 2 WD. This may be why the previous boot tore- such a large mis-match between the two.

    The transfer case is tapered.
Pull the boot closer to the engine.

Ok. I have a Yamaha Timberwolf too and this same thing happened to me too. What has happened is that your tranny case is tapered. To solve this you need to pull your boot closer to the engine. This will solve your problem! Hope I helped!
