  • I cannot get the bolts to the calipers loose to get the brake disc off. ive used WD-40 for a while now, an impact gun and heat. can i just take the ball joints off and get to the axle shaft and then i can kill two birds with one stone?

Stick your ratchet on the bolt and use a BFH.

      yes

As long as you can get the axle nut off the axle so you can slide the axle shaft out, then yes you can. You will need to pull the brake line in order to get the hub away from the vehicle far enough to remove the axle shaft……..drop the spindle off the ball joints and pull away from vehicle.
