    Nope, it has nothing to do with the starting of an engine. As long as it will spin freely, the car will start.

    Unprogramed Key bad starter? more likely. cranks no start or no crank ?

    Nope, your starter or belt or alternator would. haha everything else in the area would be bad. but ac compressor should be fine. you just wont get ac =( sad day.
