be better off getting some from a junk yard hommie

You cannot weld spring steel, it will take the temper out of it.
It would be a better idea to replace the broken leafs, they aren’t that expensive.

You can weld them but it’s a lot easier putting the whole set in at once. Yeah, from a junk yard.

I agree. You cant weld high carbon spring steel. You’ll take the temper out of IF the steel welds together ok. You hit one bump, and they’ll break, i promise you that. Get some from the junkyard if you re cheap, or get new leaves made at a suspension shop. They are ususally not that expensive.

Not too hard to find springs from a junkyard, man.

welding will make the springs completely useless, as it will destroy the temper in the heat-affected zone around the weld. This means the springs will break again in a hurry, this time right next to the weld.

No welder who was at all trustworthy would agree to do this.
