Replacing springs are not to difficult if you have the tools and time. otherwise have someone else do it and pay them if your in a hurry. the thicker the diameter, the more the front end will hold up and not sag down when the plow is on it, but the thicker the spring, the stiffer the ride
YES GET IT DONE PROPERLY.
TAKE IT TO THE SHOP
I’ve had spring work done on three of the four F150′s I’ve owned (’74, ’84, and ’99). Unless you have a fully stocked shop in your garage, I wouldn’t mess with it. Lots of specialty tools required, not to mention a possible alignment afterward. Just not worth the hassle in my opinion!
Hey there i’d take it in and have your springs installed that way if the garage breaks something they have to replace it at there cost but changing springs its not hard if you have the spring compressing tool and all the other tools nesasary my uncle is a Ford man hes been a mechanic for over 30 years but i would take it in and let them do it and they will explain to you your best choice of springs ……good luck
