Jeep Xj Coil Springs

Posted in Coil Spring | Asked on Jul 29, 2010

I have a 1998 jeep Cherokee sport, i just put some 3” leafs on the rear and am looking to put new three inch coil springs up front. If / when i do this do i need to get new raised shocks too or are the stock ones going to be fine?

You will need longer shocks and longer lower arms to keep the pinion angle correct. You will also want a drop pitman arm and trac bar drop.

you will need new longer shocks in front and it wouldn’t hurt to replace the rear too. good luck

    Longer shocks or extenders

look at the parts list on an aftermarket lift kit. should be able to find one on the web
