Ford Had A Recall On Coil Springs In 2004, Am I Still Able To Get Reimbursed
Posted on July 31, 2010
The 1999-2001 Mercury Sable had a recall in 2004 on the coil springs (recall #- 04V332000). My 1999 Sable right front coil spring broke last week. Can I still get money from Ford? Has anyone dealt with issues like this and how do I go about getting reimbursed?
Build Years/Makes/Models: 1999 – 2001 FORD TAURUS
1999 – 2001 MERCURY SABLEUNits affected: 899060
Recall Number: 04V332000
Summary: ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES ORIGINALLY SOLD IN OR CURRENTLY REGISTERED IN THE STATES OF CONNECTICUT, DELAWARE, ILLINOIS, INDIANA, IOWA, KENTUCKY, MAINE, MARYLAND, MASSACHUSETTS, MICHIGAN, MINNESOTA, MISSOURI, NEW HAMPSHIRE, NEW JERSEY, NEW YORK, OHIO, PENNSYLVANIA, RHODE ISLAND, VERMONT, WEST VIRGINIA, WISCONSIN, AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, THE FRONT COIL SPRINGS COULD FRACTURE DUE TO CORROSION ASSOCIATED WITH SALT USED ON THE ROADWAYS DURING THE WINTER. There are 2 responses to “Ford Had A Recall On Coil Springs In 2004, Am I Still Able To Get Reimbursed”most likely no since a recall is only offered for a certain amount of time and notices are sent out and they will not give u money they may replace and install parts but no money
