How Much Would It Cost To Buy A New Corvette Engine And Have It Installed At A Chevy House, Incl. Warranties..
Posted in Brake Discs & Pads | Asked on Apr 11, 2011I’d like to replace it’s current engine which has a lot of miles, to allow me to enjoy the car much more longer. Any help on this subject would be helpful. Also, it’s getting a tune up, brake job, and I’ll have all the electrical components checked to make sure everythings okay. Is there anything else I should check or do to be asured everythings running okay? It’s a 2002 Standard Coupe model. Automatic.

An ls7 crate is around $15,500..
Probally about 20k at the most you can find a engine builders site and get a quote or look on ebay I got a monte carlo engine and transmission off there
If your willing to spend 15k to 20k just sell yours and with that money you can get a used new body style 06 for around 40k to 45k

Does that mean it is FWD? Well then your out of luck. You will have to buy a new car. Is it a Camaro? You can put a Vette motor in.
Go online and search out Mr Goodwrench sited and you might find a deal. Otherwise make a friend at the local Chevy dealership parts department.
Good Luck!
An LS2 crate motor is under 7000 with a computer so yours will be some what cheaper. So instalation is whats going to run you. Many new chevy V-8 Cars the motor drops out of the bottom of the car so your probily looking at 2000 for the instalation.
