To me it seems that the set them wrong.
The squeaking is vibration of the pads when braking. It will go away after they are broken in.
Reman pad kits come with a special applique to rub onto the back side of the brake pads to prevent squeaking
If you get dust or dirt on the breaks they will squeak, if you use ceramic breaks they are less likely to do this also they make some after market dust covers that will keep dirt out but they also raise the temperature of the breaks when breaking, I would recommend ceramic break pads next time as they are far superior for a number of reasons.
The metal shims still stuck to the old brake pads? A common problem for the DIY’ers Order up a shim kit from nissan dealer and remove the pads one more time. Those shims and proper PBC grease Grease packet comes with shims gold is PBC grease black grease (moly grease) lubricates the slider pins under the rubber bellows Put PBC grease on the contact surfaces between the pad and caliper torque member and between the shims and caliper piston generally. Nissan technicians can get a good quiet brake job. Also proper beading in of the pads by making about 4 to 6 hard stops from 60 to 30 speed back to 50 to 30 speed to 40 to 20 twice then allow the brakes to cool. Good Luck
